Netflix Must Watch: Money Heist 본문
Instead of just robbing a rank, imagine the most daring plan yet: taking over the Royal Mint of Spain and printing your own money specifically ... untraceable billions of euros.
This is the sort of ambitious plot that put Money Heist (La Casa De Papel) on the map. This heist's criminal mastermind is called "The Professor" who has planned every detail of the heist. He recruited 8 people who each had their own skill and nothing to lose, got them to lock themselves inside the bank together with 67 hostages while printing the money and juggling police attacks and negotiations. Basically, the Professor was planning to pull off the "most brilliant heist in history".
Quite ironically, instead of the world bashing them as a bunch of robbers, they became the symbol "resistance" who questioned the "broken system of the government" symbolized by their costume which consisted of a Salvador Dalí mask and red jumpsuit. This was costume was used in several actual protests in different countries.
What made the show more exciting was the individual story of each character. Before actually carrying out their plans, we were housed together by the professor for months to teach them everything they need to know and make sure that everything was planned to the last detail. This was where they made their own code names derived from cities known as Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin, Nairobi, Rio, Denver, Helsinki, and Oslo.
One thing that was clear to maintain their image as the resistance was: no hostages must die.
Last April 3, Season 4 of this Spanish TV show was released on Netflix and it has been consistently one of the most-watched series on Netflix worldwide.
If you haven't watched this series yet, then it's time to check it out because you're missing out on a lot of action. The crazy and almost-too-outrageous-to-pull-off plan will leave you exhilarated and wanting for more.
