Must Watch 2020 Kdramas on Netflix 본문
The Korean wave never ceases to impress. Now that Netflix has international distribution rights for kdramas, anyone around the world can view new episodes of trending dramas the same day as Korea.
It's no secret that kdramas are essential in our daily dose of romance, comedy, melodrama, and fantasy.
So to those of you who aren't yet updated on the what's what in the kdrama arena, then here are some must watch kdramas in Netflix this year:
Crash Landing on You
If you haven't heard about this drama, then I'm guessing you haven't checked your social media account
in a while because this is all the rage. It's the story of a wealthy South Korean heiress (Son Ye-jin) who
ended up in North Korea because of a paragliding accident during a tornado then meets
Captain Ri (Hyun Bin) of the North Korean Military. They became star-crossed lovers separated
by the Korean Demilitarized Zone. This drama is the perfect mix of comedy, conflict, and romance
with iconic fashion inspirations. Not to mention its plot is a breath of fresh air that fans have been
craving. This has been a consistent character in the Netflix top 10 list.
Kingdom
Imagine a zombie series set in a historical period Korea-this is Kingdom. Yes, you read it right.
This drama combines the horror and thrill of an apocalyptic theme with the political warfare of
Korean monarchs and high-ranking officials. Just this March, they have released their second
season and frankly, viewers wouldn't mind a third.
Itaewon Class
This drama starring Park Seo-Joon (this alone makes it worth watching) is about a son avenging his
father's death as he climbs the social ladder after being released from prison. His restaurant in
Itaewon called DanBam has a very diverse and fun crew. At the same time, this series tackles
timely and relevant social issues of today such as racism and social hierarchy.
Hi Bye, Mama!
Kim Tae Hee, known as one of South Korea's most beautiful actresses, is back after 5 years in the
kdrama scene and her acting is still on point. This drama is about a mother who died but through
the reincarnation project, she is given an opportunity to come back to her husband and daughter.
However, her husband is now remarried. Another reason to watch is that the scenes with their tv
daughter are just so adorable.
