Binge-Worthy TV shows in Netflix
Situational Comedy is one of the most successful tv show genres in the US. As you have noticed, these tv shows go on for a minimum of 7 seasons (7 years). This is because sitcoms are simply entertaining and it follows the life of a specific set of characters. One might say that we grow old with them.
Now that Netflix has these tv shows available years after they have aired, these have been some of the most famous binge-worthy shows in the streaming service. Not minding the age gap between today's generation and some of the shows, they have been completely embraced:
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. (1994-2004)
The show follows the lives of six adults living in Manhattan, as they indulge in adventures that make their lives both troublesome but at the same time great. They survive everyday New York problems by helping each other out and humor. Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe and Ross have been trendsetters from then 'til now.
How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014)
The show is about Ted Mosby, an architect, who recounts to his children the events that led him to meet their mother. His journey is made more eventful by the presence of his friends Lily, Marshall, Robin and Barney. This is the only dad-meets-mom story that took nine years (LOL).
Modern Family (2009-2020)
The show is about three modern-day families from California who try to deal with their kids, quirky spouses, and jobs in their own unique ways, often falling into hilarious situations. You are sure to relate to at least one character in Modern Family, that's for sure.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013-present)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a New York City precinct lead by Captain Ray Holt, an eccentric commanding officer, and his diverse and quirky team of odd detectives who solve crimes in Brooklyn. Feminism and diversity is on point in this tv show.
The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019)
The lives of four socially awkward friends, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj, take a wild turn when they meet the beautiful and free-spirited Penny. Their group grows as they meet their unexpectedly perfect partners. This is where you realize Science is actually cooler than your usual Physics and Chemistry lecture.
