A Potterhead's greatest dream, aside from being invited to enroll in the fictional Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and meeting the cast, is probably to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter where we can tangibly see and touch places and establishments that we've only read in the books or watched in the movies. 

 

While we have come to terms with the fact that our letter of invitation for Hogwartz would never be delivered by an actual owl, it would be a treat to roam the streets of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley to pick out our own wand, try the famous butterbeer and simply immerse with the fictional place come to life. 

 

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a chain of themed areas at Universal Parks & Resorts based on the Harry Potter media franchise, adapting elements from the Warner Bros.' film series and original novels by the creative mind of J. K. Rowling.

 

Here are the different locations of the theme park all over the world:

 

1. Universal Orlando Resort (Orlando, Florida)

Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando spans two theme parks-- the Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. They have the Diagon Alley experience with the iconic Gringotts Bank. Aboard the Hogwarts Express, you can travel to Hogsmeade Village and Hogwarts Castle and ride the Hagrid roller coaster to the Forbidden Forest. Doesn't it all sound exciting?

 

2. Universal Studios Japan (Osaka, Japan)

The only one in Asia since Universal Studios Singapore doesn't have a Wizarding World. This one in Osaka, Japan focuses on reproducing the magnificent world of Harry Potter in large scale and meticulous detail which Potterheads crave. One can fully immerse in the Wizarding World just like being in the pages of the book.

 

3. Universal Studios Hollywood (Los Angeles, California)

Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Hollywood offers a tour of the magical Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade Village. One can witness spells and magical creatures and also has famous Hogsmeade establishments  (butterbeer alert) and products. There is also a series of Harry Potter-themed rides. 

 

4. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London

It is a tour of the authentic sets where the 8 films of Harry Potter were filmed and produced. It involves the exploration of the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest, and then boarding the original Hogwarts Express at Platform 9-3/4, and wandering in Diagon Alley.
